Thoughts On Parenting For A New Paradigm

Hi Lovelies!

I’ve spent the past weeks getting clear on my parent education practice, which is to support parenting for new paradigm—a post-domination paradigm.

They say you end up teaching or coaching what you most need to learn. Parenting for a new paradigm is something I’m deeply committed to learning, practicing and sharing.

These are the messages I’ll be communicating in support of that:

  • Parenting for a new paradigm doesn't come easily. We need support, resources, compassion for ourselves and education.

  • Parents need ample support in re-parenting ourselves, being well and feeling resourced.

  • The way we parent is directly correlated to levels of empathy, compassion, creativity and well-being.

  • Parenting practices correlate directly to world peace. (For more on this, check out Robin Grille’s Parenting For A Peaceful World.)

  • Feelings are our friends: Empathic listening to children's tears and tantrums helps us release stress, and heal from trauma. It helps children be connected to themselves and empathic of others.

  • Our bodies are wise: Let’s support that wisdom with letting our children be self-led when it comes to food, emotions and learning.

  • It is possible to parent in a way that gets everyone's needs without punishments and rewards.

  • Parenting is activism.
