This is a journey that has strengthened my commitment to self-discovery, well-being, trauma-informed care and parenting. As a mother, kinesiologist, and Aware Parenting instructor, I see our potential to change the world with the choices we make at birth, beyond and within.
These 6 things have been vital to my experience of parenting…and have made my life more easeful and joyful.
If you’re struggling with something in your life and it’s something that you’ve been struggling with for some time, subconscious beliefs are most definitely worth taking a look at.
Whether you are a parent or not, there is healing in loving presence, with ourselves and with each other. Our feelings are sacred. The process of un-hurting is healthy.
So, I did a thing…introducing the Raising Orion podcast dedicated to parenting and well-being for a more beautiful world.
I wrote this in triumph after Ori started sleeping through the night. I had struggled with finding a truly holistic, trauma-informed approach to sleep until I came across the philosophy of Aware Parenting.
I used to think it was because something was wrong, that babies cried exclusively because they weren’t getting need met. Crying, in fact, has two important functions.
Pandemic uncertainty seems to be in full swing in Hong Kong. It suppose it ebbs and flows depending on where you are in the world. These are the things I’ve been turning to to regain my sanity (at least temporarily).
Parenting for a new paradigm is something I’m deeply committed to learning, practicing and sharing. These are the messages I’ll be communicating in support of that.
It’s been helpful for me to learn some phrases to say to my son when these situations arise, so he knows I’m in his corner.
